Cologne (Germany) – June 2023

Each year, excitement reaches its peak at the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL 4 in Cologne. This major handball competition brings together the four best European teams in a passionate struggle to clinch the much-coveted title. But beyond the game itself, this event is also a true celebration for handball fans who coexist in a friendly and fair-play atmosphere for three unforgettable days.

In this festive setting brimming with concerts, stands, food trucks, photocalls and other sponsors’ activations, our NGO Athletes Inspire Children significantly marked its presence this year. The organization introduced an appealing initiative, featuring two of its iconic ambassadors, Andrea Lekic and Raul Entrerrios, replicated in life-size cardboard for an interactive experience.
Throughout the weekend, passionate fans flocked to take selfies with these cardboard handball figures, posting them on their Instagram accounts in the hope of winning an exceptional prize: a signed jersey of the champions and a ball used in one of the semi-finals.
But the experience did not stop there. The event was also graced by the presence of numerous renowned players, including the real Andrea Lekic and Raul Entrerrios, along with Rock Feliho, Valero Rivera, Laszlo Nagy, Nacho Biosca, and many others. Each added their name to our Wall of Fame, sharing what sport has brought to them, and thus transmitting fundamental values to children and youth who also engage in sports.
The resounding success of this initiative not only provided a unique interaction platform between fans and their idols but also underscored the ongoing commitment of the NGO Athletes Inspire Children towards promoting sports as a means of inspiration, education, and personal development for children worldwide.
In the buzz of the EHF FINAL 4, the NGO brilliantly succeeded in reminding everyone that sports go well beyond the playing field, acting as a powerful vector for positive change, unity, and the sharing of essential values.
