Hello!
A blast. Last weekend in Köln was simply a blast. Not just because we saw four great European teams compete for the continental title or because we participated in the event as partners of the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL 4; but because of the experience we had with the fans.
Athletes inspire children. With that certainty we came to the F4 and from it we realised that these are not just words. It is a fact, but there is even more: athletes inspire children, but also those who are no longer children, those who recently stopped being children, their fans, the fans of other teams… They inspire people and are able to bring that vibrancy to the event itself, the competition and organisations such as ours. We have chosen this path wisely.
You only had to look at the expressions of the fans when they passed by our stand and saw them there. Smiles that couldn’t fit on their faces, butterflies in their stomachs, hands trembling for a photo and a complete joy to be close to them.
As I said before, I believe that AIC has taken the right path and I am sure that this goes far beyond what we already do with the children every week. It’s about building a better world together with our good intentions. It’s that simple, that important. Sometimes people need a push to support a social cause and to see with their own eyes realities that move them to get involved in a project. The Final4 has been a great opportunity to get to know each other and to gain the confidence that we are serious about this.
Our mission to leave a better world for the next generations through sport was born out of a desire to help and to create happiness by bringing out the best in sport. Without a set path, but with a clear and firm direction, I no longer walk alone. There are now many of us working on this mission, a team with tremendous enthusiasm to contribute. Our community is growing and the commitment of many of you makes us go further to help all those who need us.
We are more eager than ever to continue to grow and to be there: close to the people, offering them our best.
Carlos Prieto.
